This was supposed to be a wallhanging, but I decided to make it into a pillow. I stippled on the border and just did a bit of quilting around the rabbits. I pondered wether to quilt in the white, but chickened out.

This past weekend I attended my first quilt retreat. I almost didn't get to go because I got sick :o( I missed Friday eve and Saturday morning but made my way over by dinner time. I had prepaid and wanted to get what I could out of it. I didn't feel my best but had a good time just the same. I loved seeing all the projects the ladies were working on, we have some beautiful quilters and sewers. This is the mystery quilt we did, I FINALLY got my done after a few incidents involving my thread ripper :o( My head wasn't so clear..ah well.

This is basket number 2 for tisket a tasket...Isn't it so sweet!!

Ta-Da!
Well, here it is. My first stippling(?) project. I put the (?) beside stippling because it sure doesn't look like the stippling I've seen on here..lol. I have two maching quilt books arriving any day but grew too impatient and just wanted to do it!
Here's the back..yah, I know it's interesting huh? I did learn that I was putting the runner in the wrong way for stippling. No wonder I couldn't really see where I was going and what I was doing clearly...live and learn. It actually doesn't look bad from the top if you don't look too closely, lol.

A Tisket A Tasket and few other things : )
I am participating in my first BOM and it's a good one. I remember wondering what the heck a BOM was?? A lady from my quilt guild posted the link in our group and when I saw the first block I knew I wanted in on this one. So cute and simple...simple, being the key word for me, lol.
This is my first block completed, turned out pretty cute I think. I love that a flickr group has been created for us to see other blocks completed. Some women are so creative and chose their own color scheme and added their own "twist" I am not there yet and stuck pretty close to the block shown.

This is a sweet little table runner I have complete(top) and will be my first stippling project ; )

This will be my first "BIG" stippling project. I just need to put the dark blue border ont he top. It will be for us so it won't really matter if I mess up alot, I can't wait to try it. I am waiting for two books to arrive on Machine Quilting that I ordered through amazon!!! This quilt is a disappearing nine patch. I love it for how easy it went together and I am all about easy!!

Book cover exchange
For our christmas guild christmas party we did a quilted book cover exchange. We chose a bag which contained a book and some fabric a few months ago. This is what the one I rec'd ended up looking like. It was a little address book. I thought it turned out cute. You should've seen some of the covers...WOW! I didn't feel experienced enough to start cutting up fabric and creating something fancy. I happened to have some coordinating fabric for the binding that went well with her fabric. Anyways, she was pleased when she opened it and had actually forgotten what fabric she had "thrown in" for the cover. I should've took a pic of the one I rec'd.
