Look at the pretty little bird I spotted outside my window perched in a tree. What a rare bird to be seen!!
Well, I know you girls are smart and have guessed it's not really a real bird.
It's actually a........ pincushion!
I know. Totally cute, right??
So many cute things to sew in this book!!
I knew when I saw the bird that it was the perfect thing to go along with what I made the other day for a special lady.
So, they are already for take off. Safe flight little birdie, hang on to that bag!!

Very cute Jilly...
Oh Jill you best be reporting that sighting to the local bird watching society; it is a rare one indeed!I am busy with pin cushions these days as well, but I have to wait to blog all the details until after retreat next weekend. Lucky gal to be on the receiving end of such a thoughtful gift.
That is too cute. And I love the little bag below it. So my twin sister just moved to Canada. I need to save my money so I can go visit her sometime!
Looks like a wonderful book! Your birdy pincushion is so cute.
Thanks Ladies. Fun things to make. I am in the process of making another pinchushion from Nancy's book :-) :-)
I would call that bird "Cute!" And so is the bag. Great work!
How beautiful! I sould have a look for that book. Love the tummy fabric... is it Fig & Plum? I think I have it in kind of a dandelion color and also plum.
And the pattern you were asking about is called the Village Sampler by countryquilts.ca
You should check out her site... she's a local lady here in Abbotsford and such a sweetheart with awesome patterns & books...
Have a great day! Kimberly
That is totally adorable. Love the clutch, too!
I love the bird and the bag so much... and they're MINE! I'm the lucky recipient of these adorable gifts thanks to Pay It Forward. What's especially funny is that I received two packages today - this, and my order from Connecting Threads which included the Sew Necessary book. I have to say, the bird and bag are even more adorable in person. Thank you!
