Here is the lapquilt and matching pillow all done. I gave this to my husband's parents for christmas. We had it professionally machined quilted and it turned out beautiful!!!
oh, i wanted to tell you that the coin quilt was my third quilt i stippled. it really isn't as hard as it looks. by the end of your first one you'll have a good hang of it! :)
i also checked out a book called "machine quilting: a primer of techniques" by sue nickels. i had it opened to the page of the larger stippling pattern so when i was stippling my first two it gave me something to look at for the pattern. it helped a lot!
good luck!! :)
ps. a couple must haves for stippling in my opinion are a free motion foot/darning foot and some quilting gloves. i got mine at joanns.
Thanks for the great advice Kerri. I actually have the darning foot, purchased the gloves and am waiting for 2 machine quilting books to arrive I ordered through amazone...In other words I am amost ready, I just need to be brave and do it! lol I think you are just a natural ;o)
